Emmie Lyn shares more about Clam Cove – a cozy coastal town in her newest romantic suspense series with Tule!

I’m excited to share two books with you in my new romantic suspense series, Danger at the Cove. These books are set in a small town on the coast of Maine and today I’d like to whisk you into this world. It seems timely that today’s blog is inspired by the golden retrievers in books one and two and book three, set at Christmas time, which will be out next year.

Between the swoon-worthy glances, the subtle thrills, and the cozy vibes of small-town life, there’s always a touch of mystery—and a touch of sweetness—waiting for you between the pages.

Clam Cove is always abuzz with cheerful events and intrigue. In December, the air is crisp, snowflakes are falling, and the aroma of apple pie fills this cozy corner of coastal Maine. Everyone embraces the season with open arms and plenty of warm treats to share.

What’s on the menu this season? Our seasonal specials include:

  • Pumpkin Crème Brulé: Smooth, creamy, and topped with just the right crunch.
  • Cranberry Walnut Scones: Perfect for a morning stroll along Clam Cove.
  • Gingerbread Latte: Spiced to perfection and best enjoyed by our fireplace.

And what is cozier than a little canine charm? Jake and Bella, Dessert First’s golden retrievers and resident greeters, have been busy stealing hearts—and sneaking a bite or two of gingerbread when no one’s looking. Recently, they “helped” me solve a mystery of disappearing pastries by following the trail of crumbs to the culprit: a mischievous seagull!

Jake’s seasonal tip: Always keep a spare scarf handy. Not only is it perfect for brisk walks, but it’s also great for wiping off muddy paw prints!

Bella, not to be outdone, has her own pro tip: If you accidentally drop a dessert, don’t worry—your furry sous chefs will happily take care of it.

You’ll meet both Bella and Jake in the Danger at the Cove series and I’m positive that they will steal your heart!

So, as the days grow shorter and the nights grow colder, it’s the perfect time to snuggle up with a good book. Light a candle, pour yourself a cup of hot cocoa, and dive into a story that warms your heart while keeping you on the edge of your seat.

Wishing you a season filled with warmth, laughter, and a little mystery,
Emmie

About the Author.

Emmie Lyn grew up in a small town in New England, much like the towns where her female characters live—scenic, quaint and filled with colorful characters. She loves to create mysteries with twists and unexpected turns that draw readers in and capture their imagination.

Emmie lives in rural Massachusetts with her husband and a black cat with an extremely bad attitude. She shares twelve acres with a wide variety of wildlife including deer, bunnies, turkeys, and many songbirds. When she’s not busy thinking of ways to kill off a character (for a book, of course!) she enjoys a cup of tea and chocolate in her flower garden, hiking, or spending time near the ocean.

Who cares if the people of Marietta call Cal Casey the forgotten one? Cal’s proud of his wildly successful brothers—as long as they stay out of his way. He has a ranch to run and a wife to acquire. Preferably one who doesn’t remind him of the woman who’d married his best friend.

But Red Evans is four years dead this Christmas and his widow needs all the ranch help she can get. By providing it, Cal is honoring Red’s memory, serving the valley he loves, and being a decent godfather to Red’s son. Nothing more. His brothers are wrong.

Surgical nurse Beth Evans is hanging onto her late husband’s ranch by a thread, her eleven-year-old son is skipping school to mend fences, and she owes steadfast cowboy Cal yet another big apology. The last time she messed up this badly, she’d blamed him for breathing!

It’s not Cal’s fault Beth’s long-buried feelings for him are rising again. Or maybe it’s all his fault. All she knows is that hot tempers, mistletoe kisses, and her plans to sell up and leave the valley before Christmas aren’t helping.

Must Love Mistletoe by Kelly Hunter is out December 4, 2024.

Mayor Olivia Nachman is ambitious and excited to be elected to the county legislature, and better serve her Jewish community. Busy helping the newly elected mayor transition into his new role in January, she’s blind-sided by an epic public relations disaster that puts many members of the temple and community at odds, threatening Hannukah. An influential friend hires “a fixer,” but now Olivia has to work with a way-too handsome PR consultant who thinks he knows everything.

Artur Rabinovich knows how to spin a story and fix almost any PR problem. But when he’s hired to help the city of Briarwood solve a delicate situation, Artur’s initial investigation makes the situation worse. In search of answers, he turns to the outgoing mayor, who doesn’t trust him, for help. But working with Livy creates a new problem: balancing his attraction to her and the need to impress his new boss.

Will Liv and Artur learn to compromise and mix business with pleasure without jeopardizing the project or their careers before the dreidl spins its last? Or will the situation and the relationship end up a disaster?

The Dreidl Disaster by Stacey Agdern releases December 5, 2024.
