After a haphazard career working and travelling around the world, Jessica Hart stumbled into writing as a way to finance a PhD in history but soon developed a love of romance as a genre in its own right. Dividing her time between romance and research, Jessica wrote 60 books for Harlequin Mills & Boon which have been translated into 25 languages and won a number of awards, including a RITA, along the way.
Since finally completing that PhD, she now also writes historical novels set in Tudor England under her real name, Pamela Hartshorne. Also a project editor and writer of non fiction, Jessica lives in historic York but still loves to travel when she can, preferably to places with big skies and open horizons.
