Susan Sands talks about her latest release in her Moonshine series: suspense, romance, and Southern holiday charm

Hello, Tule friends!

I’m so excited to be here today with you to celebrate the release of A Georgia Christmas!

It’s the story of Merilee Bell and Randy Slade set in fictional Moonshine, Georgia and the second release in my Moonshine, Georgia series. First, let’s talk about this gorgeous cover! Lee Hyat really knocked it out of the park with this one, didn’t she? Blue is my favorite color, and that makes me love it even more!

In this winter-set novella, salon owner, Merilee, meets Randy when he parks his big ol’ pickup truck in her salon’s dedicated client parking space. Parking is at a premium in Moonshine, especially during the holidays, and taking a spot that is CLEARLY marked reserved doesn’t fly with feisty Merilee. She insists that if he’s going to park there, he should get a haircut or park elsewhere.

Randy agrees he’s overdue for a trim, and let’s Merilee have her way with—his hair. He tells her he’s in town for a job interview as the town’s newest deputy at the sheriff’s department across the street. Really, he’s an undercover Georgia Bureau of Investigations special agent who’s setting up a sting operation to catch a ring of property scammers. Since he’s undercover, he can’t tell her the truth.

Merilee just happens to have a garage apartment perfect for his undercover operation and rents it from Merilee, telling her a half-truth so he can move in and set things up. As Merilee and the town of Ministry charm him through the holiday season, he begins to imagine a life here. Can he do his job and still celebrate a small town southern Christmas, and maybe more with his dream girl?

This story is part suspense, part romance, and all Southern holiday charm. I hope you’ll give it a try.

Here are a couple of reviews for A Georgia Christmas so far:

“If you enjoy small-town contemporary romance with a strong sense of community, well-developed characters, a bit of suspense, complicated family dynamics, a realistic redemption arc and a happily ever after, I recommend A GEORGIA CHRISTMAS by Susan Sands. It’s a quick read with characters who were easy to root for and a charming town I’m eager to revisit.”—PJ Ausdenmore, The Romance Dish

“I absolutely loved A Georgia Christmas by Susan Sands! Her books never fail to hit that perfect mix of heartwarming, funny, and romantic. Merilee is such a relatable and lovable character. She’s strong, independent, and so proud of how far she’s come. The small town vibes in Moonshine, Georgia, are so cozy and magical, especially during Christmas. The festive setting made everything feel extra special.”—Goodreads reviewer

Susan Sands talks about being part of our latest release, A Southern Christmas anthology – out now!

Hello Everyone!

I’m thrilled to be here today with you on the release day for A Southern Christmas! Working with Sinclair and Laurie on this project has been such a joy.

My novella, A Georgia Christmas, is the second story in my newest series with Tule Publishing set in the North Georgia Mountain region of Southern Appalachia in the fictional town of Moonshine, Georgia.

Merilee Bell is the town’s most popular hairdresser and salon owner. She’s a self-made sassy redhead, who insists Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s agent, Randy Slade, pay her for a haircut if he plans to park his oversized pickup in her dedicated parking space in front of her salon—he needs one anyway.

Randy’s cover story is that he’s in town applying for a job with the Moonshine Sheriff’s Department as a deputy, so he omits his real title and why he’s here. Randy is really in town investigating a group of property scammers for the GBI in Moonshine. Merilee just happens to own a garage apartment perfect for a sting operation to catch the con artists. She believes she’s helping her local sheriff’s department when she offers to help.

Randy doesn’t want to lie, but he has a duty to keep citizens safe, including Merilee. Can he do his job and still celebrate a small town southern Christmas, and maybe more with his dream girl? Sparks fly between the two as the charming town gears up for all of the holiday events leading up to Christmas.

Being part of a team writing an anthology has been such fun, especially with fellow Tule authors. Sinclair and Laurie are both so kind. We’ve shared ideas on our cover, our stories, and promotions and swag. Have you seen our tote bags?

I hope you’ll read and review A Southern Christmas, and I hope you love it!!
