Tule Author Q&A: Katherine Garbera talks designers & DNA

Tule author Katherine Garbera took the time to talk with Tule about her newest release in Last Stand, Texas:

What celebrity do you imagine as Amelia’s biological father?
I imagine Amelia’s biological father – Jax Williams as sort of Bradley Cooper in A Star is Born now.  He is good looking but lived hard.  He feels the most alive when he is onstage performing and sometimes can extended by hooking up after a show with a fan/groupie.

Cal is a quarterback — is he a running QB or does he stay in the pocket?
Cal is a running QB.  He’s very physical and growing up with his father he learned quickly how to read an opponent.

As a former model, what is Amelia’s favorite designer?
Amelia’s favorite designer to work with was the legendary Karl Lagerfeld.  She’s also a huge fan of Coco Chanel she likes to mix current fashion with classic pieces.

Where was Amelia’s favorite place to get away as a teenager in Last Stand?
As a teenager Amelia’s favorite place to get away to the attic where her family keeps trunks of clothing from earlier generations. Her great grandmother and her sisters had gone to Europe and brought back all sorts of high fashion with them.  So Amelia would stand in front of the mirror in the attic and try on all the clothes. Usually Emma would be sitting on the window sill reading while Delilah would act as her helper, getting the hats and gloves ready.

What are you currently reading?
Right now, I am reading Kiss An Angel by Susan E. Phillips, all those trailers for Dumbo made me want to read a circus book! I’m also re-reading one of my favorite writing craft books Techniques of the Selling Writer by Dwight Swain.

USA Today bestselling author Katherine Garbera is a two-time Maggie winner who has written more than 60 books. A Florida native who grew up to travel the globe, Katherine now makes her home in the Midlands of the UK with her husband, two children and a very spoiled miniature dachshund.
