Ingredients:
1 cup butter-flavored Crisco
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups all purpose flour
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cram Crisco and sugar together until fluffy. Beat in egg, salt, vanilla and almond extract.
- Work in flour until blended.
- Force dough through a cookie press in desired shapes onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Decorate with colored sugars.
- Bake a 400 degrees to 5-7 minutes until set, but not brown. Cool slightly before moving to cooling racks.
Makes about 4-5 dozen cookies.
Note: dough may also be tinted with a few drops of food coloring for some added colorful fun!
