Hang out with Tule’s Managing Editor, Meghan Farrell!

Ever wonder what’s going on behind the scenes at Tule? Meghan is here to give you an exclusive look!

1. What’s your favorite part about your job?

The day-to-day part of the job can be tough, but getting to chat and interact with authors on a daily basis is easily my favorite part. I love getting to talk about stories and ideas with authors then finding ways we can make that a reality. Then again, looking at shirtless men covers isn’t so bad either :)

2. Which Tule title and non-Tule title are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Falling Hard by Kate Hewitt. It’s not out for release yet, so I don’t want to give too much away, but let me tell you, this is something you need to read. It’s full of emotional conflict and gripping sexual tension. Oh, Quinn Freeman!

Non Tule title is Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Psychology has always been an interest of mine, especially learning about the relationships between behavior and the mind. I usually need to read a genre that is completely different than my current romance read. If I could read two romance books at the same time, I totally would!

3. What can’t you get through the work day without?

An unhealthy amount of coffee and our office pup, Abi. She’s a little one-eyed bulldog that sleeps all day. She snores and snorts really loud, enough to interrupt a phone call or two (oops!), but I couldn’t get through the work day with out her!

4. What’s your favorite music to listen to while working?

I’m a huge fan of Spotify and I love working to all types of music, but recently I have been listening to the playlist Mood Booster. It has a ton of upbeat songs to help me power through the day. Sometimes an office dance party is in order. Rock on!

5. Which fictional character would you be and why?

Harry Potter. Who wouldn’t want to be a wizard?

M.Farrell.headshotA native Texan, Meghan Farrell graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Psychology. She packed her bags and moved to the Golden State, where she joined Tule Publishing Group in Southern California. Meghan became the Managing Editor for Tule in 2014 and oversees and coordinates the development of the company’s imprints, production, subrights, editorial and marketing departments. She has had the pleasure of speaking at national and international romance conferences and looks forward to more in the future. Meghan enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for travel, a good cup of coffee and, of course, a great book!
