Author Eve Gaddy took the time to answer a few questions about the new Tule town of Last Stand, Texas, and her release out April 11: Heart of the Texas Doctor!
Bella is a hair stylist and pretty adventurous with her hair color — would you ever get pink highlights?
No. Bella can pull that off but I can’t! But I do color my hair brown.
There’s a great scene where Graham and Bella dance. What song do you imagine was playing?
Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran
Last Stand is a fun small town. What would be a typical Friday night?
Go eat Mexican food at Valencia’s (Tex-Mex food, natch) Then head over to the Saloon and play a game or two of pool and listen to the music on the jukebox. Or after dinner take in a movie if there’s something good playing.
Which did you have to do more research on: cardiothoracic surgery or Texas cuisine (galettes)?
In this case, the galettes. I’m very familiar with Tex-Mex and southern cooking, but galettes were new to me. I’m married to a doctor so whenever I have medical questions I start with him. (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard, No don’t do that. It’s stupid.)J
What are you currently reading?
JD Robb’s newest. Next up is Justine Davis’s Lone Star Lawman. :)
